Two weeks ago I started to sew Elizabeth Hartman pattern "Penguin Party".

It was really small patch, but so cute :D

Sometimes I did a little break from cutting and I sewed little parts of blocks.

In the second plan those fabrics which I used for belly of penguins

Tadammm first is finished! Is it not cute?

All blocks are done :)

And here with sashing

Now time for quilting :D

I used first time minky for backing.

And finish! ( with binding of course :D )

Colorful bellys of penguins are very good fit for sweet backing fabrics. It some Spring in Winter :D

And now few pictures of penguins. I tried to quilt similar pattern as the print of fabrics. For quilting I used Aurifill Thread

This quilt is very soft because my quilting is rare and backing minky is good idea : delicate and pleasant to the touch. On front the whole looks like I used there was wool wadding.

And most important: my birthday surprise for beautiful young lady it was good idea because she love penguins :D It was first project from Elizabeth Hartman. I have few patterns from this designer to sew , so probably per short time I will show you my next quilt.

Thank you for visiting my blog. See you soon and Happy Quilting!
