Some time ago I mentioned that I decided to join the Pat Sloan QAL „Summer Soiree”. I sewed 3 blocks and…. changed my mind ( obviously ) about the choice of fabrics But I didn’t want to leave the blocks I’d already sewn. I put them together and sewed a runner for the table. Changing the idea is to use a different fabric for the background. Other fabrics remain. So this runner will work in harmony with the quilt I sew according to Pat’s design.
I quilted on my HQ Capri. I love this longer machine especially when we have very warm weather. For my legs is most comfortable to sit I made roses – one for each corner… I just divided the square into 4 parts and „painted” a rose in each of them. I love roses quilting design. It’s one of my favorite quilting designs.
I love Capri for the fact that you can baste it on it. Then you do not need to use safety pins or glue to stabilize the sandwich. Isn’t that a great solution?
At the end, my quite old Tusia. She is 16 years old and there is gray hair on her fur. But still loves climbing trees. This is a Japanese maple. It’s small, and she loves to hide in leaves.
Have a great days and see you soon! Margaret
